Open House (Warm Spaces)

When the Warm Spaces Initiative came to an end we decided to continue the valuable work and have now rebranded as Open House and continue to serve the community each Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10am where we provide a warm space for you to relax along with refreshments and good company for you to enjoy.


Bishop Auckland Baptist Church

  • Sunday – Sunday Service at 10:30am
  • Monday – Closed
  • Tuesday – Open House with light lunch and beverages available 10am-2pm
  • Tuesday – Bible Study Group from 1:00pm
  • Wednesday – Lunch Club with food available from 12pm
  • Thursday – Open House with light lunch and beverages available 10am-2pm
  • Friday – Closed
  • Saturday – Closed

If you would like some advice or help on starting or continuing your journey then Reed are holding monthly drop-in sessions here at Bishop Auckland Baptist Church starting Wednesday 3rd April 2024 at 10:30am.

Feel free to pop along – no pressure, no obligation, just help and advice along with our normal community day activities.


Easter Craft Group

Organised by Wellbeing For Life who aim to keep mind, body and spirit together using all sorts of activities to help improve our lives.


Walking Groups

Organised by Sport Durham and aimed at keeping us all moving regardless of age or ability. Come along and have some gentle exercise whilst enjoying good company.


Eatwise & Exercise Thursdays

This course is organised and run by the local Primary Care Partnership to promote good health and wellbeing for all. The course is 8 sessions long and is held on alternate Thursdays starting 26th October 2023

To mark the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III we are joining in The Big Help Out which encourages communities and individuals to come together and help each other.

If you would to enjoy good company, some fresh air and a gentle walk whilst also helping to keep the local area tidy then we are holding a litter-picking event along with some refreshments.

This event is open to everyone regardless of age or ability so come along and have some fun whilst keeping Bishop Auckland tidy.

Renown Singer-Songwriter John Froud comes to Bishop Auckland Baptist Church in live concert. If you like Christian music with a country twist then this is a must see event!

Green Fair 10th September 2022 – FREE EVENT

If you love being involved in all that Bishop Auckland has to offer then come along and join us all for a day of mixing, meeting, renewing and innovating for all of the family. There will be stalls, food and lots of activities. advice and workshops for everyone – and best of all ITS FREE!
